As predicted, the federal government has pushed the Fiscal Year 2025 funding talks to December. The House and Senate passed a continuing resolution (CR) that funds the federal government at 2024 levels until December 20, 2024. Notably, the House adjourned early on Wednesday, September 25th to allow members to travel home ahead of Hurricane Helene. Not included in the CR was any additional emergency funding for FEMA, which poses problems for states that have been devastated by this most recent storm.
