The Federal Aviation Administration will invest $481 million to improve airport infrastructure in 36 states and two territories, according to a Sept. 3 release from the DOT. The 191 grants, funded through the Airport Infrastructure Grants program, target terminal upgrades, runway improvements, taxiway construction and overall airport rehabilitation, according to the awards list. 2027 MEP Innovation Conference Opens for Registration
Registration is open for the 2027 MEP Innovation Conference, taking place January 25–27 in Tampa, Florida. NECA is part of the Utility Work Zone Safety Alliance (UWSA), a collaborative effort with EEI and IBEW to reduce injuries and fatalities from vehicle intrusions into utility work zones. To support this work, we're asking members to complete the UWSA Industry Survey on current safety practices, technologies, training, and regulatory considerations.
