NECAPAC Takes New Sweepstakes Approach for NECA 2020 LIVE

Chapter Managers,

This year at NECA 2020 LIVE, NECAPAC will be taking a different approach to our raffle for PAC donors and those involved with NECA government affairs. Instead of a traditional raffle, we will be holding a sweepstakes.

Members will have to visit and interact with the NECAPAC Booth at convention to be entered to win.

SWEEPSTAKES PRIZES

Sweepstakes prizes will include Google Homes with smart lights, Ring doorbells, YETI soft backpack coolers, and Taylormade golf clubs.

Any contractor that donates to NECAPAC from September 1 through the last day of Convention will automatically be entered in the Sweepstakes. As usual, there will be drawings and winners every day of the convention.

This different sweepstakes format is due to the online nature of the NECAPAC Booth and what is legally allowed by the Federal Election Commission (FEC).

For the time being, if any contractors inquire about the raffle, we would appreciate if you let them know that we will be releasing more information before convention. We have attached the legal document detailing the rules and eligibility of the sweepstakes.

Contributions to the National Electrical Contractors Association Political Action Committee (“NECAPAC”) are not deductible for federal income tax purposes.

While no contribution is necessary to enter or win, any funds contributed to NECAPAC are subject to federal contribution limits. Only individuals legally permitted to contribute to Sponsor may enter the Promotion via the Contribution Method. Contributions from corporations, labor unions, foreign nationals without green cards, and federal government contractors are prohibited. Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation and name of employer for individuals whose contributions exceed $200 in an election cycle.
