TVA Set to Build New $2.2B Gas Power Plant in Kingston, Tenn.
Tennessee Valley Authority expects to decide in March on that it will spend $2.2 billion to replace its aging 1.5-GW Kingston, Tenn., coal-fired power plant with an equal-sized gas-fired facility it says could burn 5% hydrogen, coupled with a new 122-mile natural gas pipeline and 100 MW of battery storage.
