NECA has named Jay B. Jones as Field Representative, Eastern Region, effective November 1, 2021.
After earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Education from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 2000, Jones completed his Apprenticeship program and went on to spend 11 years with IBEW Local Union 456 in New Brunswick, New Jersey, as a Journeyman Wireman, Foreman, and General Foreman. Following this, he began his first tenure with NECA as a Field Representative in the Eastern Region.
For the last three years, Jones has worked with the Penn-Del-Jersey Chapter, NECA, as a Chapter Field Representative and the Director of Education. Jones is a graduate of the VOLT and NEXT Leadership Academies and has served as the Co-Coordinator for the Outstanding Apprentices attending the National Training Institute. Now, he returns to the Eastern Region as a Field Representative for NECA National.
“Jay Jones has been a figure in the NECA-IBEW world for a very long time, and we are thrilled to be welcoming him back to our national Field Service team,” said Kevin Tighe, NECA Executive Director of Customer and Field Service. “He will be using his vast knowledge of the industry, our association, and the Eastern Region to continue supporting our Chapters and Members as he already has time and again throughout his career.”
“One of the things we value most in our Field Service team is industry experience, and Jay Jones’s career both as an IBEW member and NECA representative make him the perfect candidate to rejoin our staff in the Eastern Region,” said NECA CEO David Long. “We are excited to have him utilize his existing relationships with our members, our Chapters, and our IBEW colleagues, and create new relationships all across the region to help push our industry forward.”
