Oracle, OpenAI to Build $15 Billion Data Center Site in Wisconsin

The planned $15 billion campus in Port Washington, Wisc., is part of OpenAI and Oracle’s previously-announced plan to deliver up to 4.5 gigawatts of additional Stargate capacity. It is the Midwest site that OpenAI mentioned as part of its Stargate expansion announcement. Construction is slated to begin soon with completion scheduled for 2028. Wall Street Journal

    American Line Builders Chapter Visits Capitol Hill

    Last week, the American Line Builders NECA Chapter hosted a Fly-In to Washington, DC to meet with lawmakers to discuss key issues impacting the industry. Chapter leaders and contractors met with representatives from Minnesota, Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, and Michigan to advocate for policies that support timely infrastructure development and reduce unnecessary regulatory barriers. The group urged congressional leaders to streamline permitting and approval processes to help contractors deliver essential grid modernization and renewable energy projects more efficiently.
